[oc] Design architecture

Hi all:
       I been researching on 8051 core by using VHDK code now. I have 
some question to ask for it:

1) May I know that what is the design architecture used for this core? 
Pilineline? DSP? 

2) Where could I found those design architechture (general/detail) for 
8051 CPU design?

3) What is the recommended/sugesstion of design architechture for it?
