DbEnv::set_rep_limit

APIRef

#include <db_cxx.h>

int DbEnv::set_rep_limit(u_int32_t gbytes, u_int32_t bytes);

Description

The DbEnv::set_rep_limit method imposes a limit on the amount of data that will be transmitted from a site during the course of a single call to DbEnv::rep_process_message method.

The gbytes and bytes parameters together represent the maximum number of bytes that can be sent during a single call to DbEnv::rep_process_message method.

The DbEnv::set_rep_limit method configures a database environment, not only operations performed using the specified DbEnv handle.

The DbEnv::set_rep_limit interface may be called at any time during the life of the application.

The DbEnv::set_rep_limit method either returns a non-zero error value or throws an exception that encapsulates a non-zero error value on failure, and returns 0 on success.

Errors

The DbEnv::set_rep_limit method may fail and throw an exception or return a non-zero error for errors specified for other Berkeley DB and C library or system methods. If a catastrophic error has occurred, the DbEnv::set_rep_limit method may fail and either return DB_RUNRECOVERY or throw a DbRunRecoveryException, in which case all subsequent Berkeley DB calls will fail in the same way.
