What is muLinux ? | |
muLinux (µLinux, really) is a fully configurable,
minimalistic, almost complete, application-centric tiny distribution. muLinux resides on a single 1722K floppy. |
A system you can use with different profiles. | For home, demo, emergency and others, with it´s own IP address, hostname, eth cards, etc. |
An open script-based system. | You can look inside the scripts, learning about Linux configuration policy. |
A portable system. | Use on PC´s w/o leaving a single byte behind. |
A minimum hardware requirements. | A PC 386-8M with floppy. |
A pluggable, incremental file-system. | The various add-ons may be inserted and removed without compromising the functionality. |
A safe system for newbies. | The RAM disk will be re-created at every boot. |
A laboratory for experimenting. | With the Linux boot and set-up process. |
An uniform, expandable setup scheme. | Easy adding whatever is interesting. |
It´s not intended for the generic mouse-based user. | For the curious person, who wants to look inside. |
